Wylam Whispers Newsletter: May 2026 (No. 1)

The first Wylam Whispers newsletter with news, events and updates for Wylam Institute.  Available in print for the first edition with all subsequent editions only available as an electronic newsletter on the website and emailed to our mailing list.  Planned as a regular (2-3 monthly) publication depending on what news there is to share.

You can sign up to our email mailing list to receive a copy of the newsletter and any other relevant news from the Institute.  Email wylaminstitute2@gmail.com with your name and email address.  Your personal details will not be shared with anyone in accordance with GDPR regulations.

The future of Wylam Institute: consultation information

To complement the news article and feedback requested on the future of Wylam Institute, we have developed this document with information to explain why we need to consider making changes, and how we want to engage with residents on the Institute's future.  Please get in touch if you have any comments, or complete the online or paper surveys to help us decide how to take forward the redevelopment of this great building.  

WICA Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy

This policy provides a framework of expectations for equality, diversity and inclusion at the Institute, in line with the Equality Act 2010.

WICA Environmental policy

The Environmental policy is a plan for sustainable and environmentally friendly operations at the Institute.

WICA Social Media Policy

We have developed this policy to provide guidelines on standards for Wylam Institute social media in:

a) supporting and promoting the Institute,

b) assisting trustees, volunteers and the public to protect the Institute and its reputation,

c) to avoid any legal issues as much as we can.

WICA Privacy Statement

The Privacy Statement advises hirers, customers, employees, volunteers and visitors how the Institute will collect, store, use, share, protect and process personal data.

Hallmaster online booking system user guide

Our online booking system launched in January 2026 and we have created this user guide to assist new and regular hirers when making a booking.

Policies and Hire Agreement

The safety and security of all individuals and hirers using the Institute is a primary concern and all hirers are asked to ensure they have read key policies and the hire agreement before holding an event.
