A very warm welcome to Wylam Institute.
Built in 1895-96 by donation, the Institute has been a place of recreation and wellbeing for Wylam and surrounding area for 130 years.
The hall has been extended and improved over the years (see our heritage section) and currently offers two large halls, one on the ground floor that can be split into two, and one on the first floor with a stage. Two smaller rooms are available, as well as kitchen facilities.
The Institute garden is a relaxing space with seating and is accessible for everyone to enjoy.
The hall is accessible to all, with a lift to upper floors, ramped access to the building and all rooms, and an accessible toilet.
The Institute is a Charity, run by a local committee for the village, and is a thriving hub for activities. We will always make the effort to listen to and accommodate our customers where possible, to continually strive to improve the facilities and to offer great service to everyone.
Please note the Events page is still being developed and all bookings should be made via the office until we are ready to launch our online booking system. You can contact the office using details on our home page, or by completing the enquiry form on the booking page.
