Start of Work on the Storeroom Extension

We are delighted that work is to start on the hall storeroom extension in May. A group of volunteers will be removing the fence at the back of the hall and preparing the ground for Paul Wright of Elsdon to get started on the job.

We are extremely grateful to the following organisations for supporting us and contributing funding to enable us to carry out our plans.

Lottery Awards for All, Ray Wind Farm Foundation, Garfield Weston Foundation, Sir James Knott Trust, Joicey Trust and The Community Chest.

Once the storeroom extension is finished items stored in the Post Office room will be moved to the extended store and work can commence to improve the Post Oice lay-out and facilities. A new small meeting room will be provided, independent of the main hall and annex, which will be a foyer for the Post Office counter and a cosy 'Warm Space' during power cuts or other emergencies.
