Village Hall Report – July/August

Village Hall Report – July/August

Our plans for improvements to the Hall this year have finally been accomplished.  The new Bi-fold doors are a welcome replacement for the blue concertina doors which have served us well for many years but were certainly looking a little tired.

The new refreshments area in the old bar is a welcome addition.  This will enable both the Jubilee and Heritage rooms to be hired quite separately while allowing access to make tea, coffee and light snacks.

Finally, new stage lighting has been installed and, like the new P.A. system is simple and easy to operate.

Our thanks go to all the hall users who have been affected during the recent works, we appreciate your patience and understanding.

The coffee mornings will take a break during the month of August but will be back on 2nd September closely followed by Soup & Cake Fridays which will start again when the clocks go back in October. We hope to have the Tech experts joining us again for the monthly (1st Wednesday of the month) coffee mornings. Watch the notice board for details.

Future events this year: The Fabs have been booked for Halloween on 31st October and a Christmas party for the children of the Parish on Saturday, 5th December.  The Trustees are open to suggestions about events at the Hall. If you have any ideas about how the Hall can be used to improve the well-being of the local community in any way, please get in touch.
