11 Apr 2026 - 7:30pm to 10:30pm
Middleton Village hall and Highlights Rural Touring Scheme are delighted to bring The Pocket Choral Society, a comedy, a cappella performance made specifically for village halls, on Saturday 11th April 2026 at 7.30pm.
Combining beautiful close harmony singing and quirky songwriting with much laughter and even improvised singing sessions, The Pocket Choral Society features four experienced singers blending into one. Singing unamplified, the quartet bring their own songs and new arrangements from other songwriters such as Lennon and McCartney, Lou Reed, Flanders & Swann and Tom Waits.
The vicar, publican, farmer and village shop worker who form the group, bring a whole new vibe to the show as they combine the singing with tales of intrigue and village life from their own village of Pocket. Each show includes a topical song, based on the news that week.
