Longframlington Memorial Hall – Get Ready, Get Set………

It’s been a busy time for the Management Trustees since six new faces were elected. The team of nine all have defined roles and are working to deliver on a wide range of activities set out in our new Development Plan. Much of the work is behind the scenes, but required to comply with legal and regulatory requirements. We spent one Sunday morning on the exciting task of completing a huge health and safety checklist. Seems everywhere we look there are small and large jobs to be done. We’ll crack on using the special grant money received from the County Council during the pandemic lockdown period.

Yes it so often comes down to money. Historically income from bookings only covers about half of the total running costs. With a new website launched and an online booking system in place there are already signs of new interest from within the village and beyond. We are also looking at other grant funding sources as well as planning our own fund raising events. Keep an eye on the village Facebook pages for more information.

The website is at https://northumberlandvillagehalls.org.uk/longframlington-memorial-hall but if you just Google Longframlington Memorial Hall the direct link will pop up. There is full information there on all of the rooms and facilities on offer, current regular groups, events, hire charges and booking arrangements.

Our hall is a fantastic community asset and we want to keep it that way by maintaining it in good order and further developing its use. If you are interested in hiring all or part of the hall for any purpose then please get in touch. Always happy to discuss and even give a free tour!
