Our first midweek lunch was a great success with 28 people enjoying a delicious home made meal consisting of soup followed by a choice of apple crumble or plum sponge with custard or ice cream. Rounded off with tea and coffee and biscuits it proved extremely popular, and was followed by a talk by Julian Tyley on Iceland illustrated with photographs.
Our second lunch followed by a talk on Thursday 19th February was another very popular event with Noel Hodgson who spoke about the history of the local area and included some of his own poetry. Several of his poetry books were on sale.
The next Lunch and Talk will be on Thursday 19th March. If you're coming for the lunch, it begins at 12.30pm, with the talk at 2pm.
