Heritage

The hall was made available to the Parish Council as a Community Building in 1998 from the Blenkinsopp Trust, and since that point has undegone extension to create a modern functional hall.

Prior to this the Hall was in the hands of the Parish Church St Cuthberts as their Parochial Church Hall.

The earliest recorded mention of the Hall being used as a community building was in 1898 when it was opened as a Reading Rooms by Edward Joicey of Blenkinsopp Hall for the benefit of the village.
