Eglingham Community Association

Eglingham Community Association is a voluntary group of residents that undertakes a co-ordinating and enabling role in the parish. It carries out the organisation and management of a number of community activities throughout the year.

Following the closure of the village school in 2010, ECA was constituted in 2011 and has an agreement to manage the day to day activities of Eglingham Parish Community Field, the former school field, which is owned by the Parish Council.

ECA organised and managed the grant application and building of the toilets and secure storage shed at the Field.

ECA originally maintained the tennis court along with the Tennis Club who are now an independent group with a recently built pavilion.

There is a gardening group managed by ECA who have planted up and maintain the field margins with shrubs, perennial plants, fruit bushes and bulbs.

ECA owns a fully portable public address system available for any properly constituted group in the parish free of charge. For private use or those outside the parish there is a small charge. There is also a multi device playing deck.

The Eglingham Calendar is produced by ECA with photos from residents and over the past ten years has proved very popular.

ECA organises Coffee & Chats in Eglingham Village Hall on the first Saturday morning of the month, with everyone welcome.

If you would like to join ECA or get involved in any of the activities, please contact a committee member:

Jess Angus (Chair), Julian Tyley (Secretary), Malcolm Angus (Treasurer) Margaret Bell, Penny Garrood, Sarah Radcliffe, Joyce Wilson
