This is our first newsletter and we aim to keep you up to date with events throughout the year. We will publish this letter via the Church Magazine and on our website. Stannington Village Hall booking diary is busy and we have attracted a lot of new bookings via the new booking website. All our housekeeping is up to date, along with the servicing of the boilers and the addition of Nests to aid our caretaker in programming the boilers and making the heating system more efficient. The entertainment and alcohol licences have been renewed and the utility contracts negotiated. All our policies can be accessed on our website along with a list of all the hall users. We have a Facebook page and we welcome your advertisements for your club to include up coming events and your terms of membership. We will share these among all the other Stannington Facebook pages which we hope will increase your member numbers.
The Stannington First School Christmas lunch, sponsored by Stannington Village Hall and Stannington Parish Council was a huge success and we hope to repeat this yearly. The magician, Graeme Shaw, was amazing and he will entertain us, again, at the Parish Coronation Event in May. The Coronation event will be sponsored by the Parish Council and more details will be published shortly. The Village Show will make a welcome return this September and details will follow in the next magazine edition. We are excited to announce that we are chasing grants for major improvements to our hall which will benefit all our hall users. Again, more news on this exciting project will follow.
