The centre is also used for Birthday parties, funeral teas, family celebrations, dances and exhibitions.

There are facilities for the disabled  and a wheelchair lift is available from the foyer up to the 1st floor meeting room.

There is a small carpark to the rear of the building with 2 x EV charging points.  There is also on street parking close by.

The centre has a portable staging system.

The Hall has a Premises Licence under the Licensing Act 2003. This permits live and recorded music, indoor sporting events (except boxing and wrestling), film shows, dancing and dance performances. The Licence enforces the following timings for all functions:

Monday to Thursday inclusive and Sunday: 8.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m.

Friday: 8.00 a.m. to 12 midnight

Saturday: 8.00 a.m. to 12 midnight

The above Licence limits the Total Capacity to 200 persons.

The Hall does not have a Licence for the sale of alcohol. At any event, patrons may bring their own drinks for their own consumption, or drink may be given away by the organiser. In any situation where alcohol is to be sold, the event organiser must inform the Bookings Secretary and file a TEN (Temporary Event Notice) with the local authority and pay the necessary fees.
