It was Polling Day on the 6th May and Great Whittington Village Hall acted as a polling station just as it has over many years in the past. Normally this would pass without comment but it seems almost a matter for celebration as we start to emerge from lock-down.
A group of Parishioners has worked tirelessly over past days to remove the marquee frame, cut the grass, tidy up the garden and clean and prepare the inside of the hall. In other words get the Hall back into shape for this important function. Many thanks to everybody who helped. Linz Gillam was at the Hall at 04.15 am to turn on the heating, causing the polling officer to comment that they were being spoilt. Thanks also to Mike Ritchie who took the great photograph.
