Last Saturday saw the twice-postponed village hall barbecue finally take place. Despite all our crossed fingers the weather was not good to us, but the show went on regardless! Phil and Mac battled the elements at the barbecue which was (mostly) undercover, and runners brought the cooked burgers, sausages and chicken drumsticks indoors where everyone was able to help themselves to a selection of salads to accompany their barbecued food. Ice creams were served for dessert!
The bar takings were pretty impressive despite (or because of) the weather, and a healthy profit was made towards the ongoing costs of running the hall. The newly re-decorated hall provided a warm and cheerful venue and a good time was had by one and all.
